About Us

McLoughlin High School, who locals fondly refer to as Mac-Hi, is a public high school located in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. It is named after John McLoughlin for his contributions to the state of Oregon.  Mac-Hi celebrated it's 100th birthday in 2021.

There are approximately 520 students in grades 9th -12th that attend Mac-Hi.  Our staff is comprised of 29 teachers, 9 educational assistants, one counselor, a SRO, a high school success coaches and a family outreach coordinator.  Mr. Mario Uribe Saldana  has been the principal since 2020 and is also a 2003 graduate of McLoughlin High School.  Ms. Kristina Brown joined the Mac-Hi staff as a vice principal in 2022.  She comes to us with a broad range of K-12 experience, most recently in Dayton, WA.
